Privacy Policy
Last updated 31 July 2026
This policy explains what personal data Acer Academy collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have under Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).
1. Personal data we collect
When you book a class or contact us, we may collect:
- Your name, email address and mobile number
- The student's name, level and preferred centre
- Details of your enquiry or booking, including messages you send us
- Payment confirmation details from our payment provider, such as the reference and amount (we do not receive your full card number)
- Basic technical information from your visit, such as pages viewed and approximate location, where analytics are enabled
2. How we collect it
We collect personal data directly from you through the booking form on this website, by WhatsApp, telephone or email, and in person at our centres. We do not buy personal data from third parties.
3. Why we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and arrange a trial or regular class
- To process payment for classes
- To administer enrolment, attendance and student progress
- To contact you about your child's classes, schedules and results
- To improve our teaching, our website and our services
- To meet our legal, accounting and record-keeping obligations
We only send marketing messages where you have agreed to receive them, and every such message includes a way to opt out.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us operate, and only to the extent they need it:
- Our payment provider, to take and confirm payment securely
- Our website hosting and email providers, to run the site and send booking notifications
- Our own tutors and administrative staff at the relevant centre
- Regulators, auditors or law enforcement where we are legally required to disclose
5. Students and children's data
Most students are under 18, so bookings and consent are handled through a parent or legal guardian. Where we publish a student's photograph, first name, school or results, we do so only with the prior consent of a parent or guardian. You can withdraw that consent at any time by emailing us, and we will remove the material from our website and future marketing.
6. Payment security
Payments are processed by a third-party payment provider on their own secure platform. Your card details are entered on their system, not ours, and we never see or store your full card number, expiry date or security code.
7. How long we keep it
We keep personal data only as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as required by law for tax and accounting records. Enquiry records for people who never enrol are deleted once they are no longer needed.
8. Keeping it secure
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse, and we limit access to staff who need it to do their work. No system is completely secure, but we take this seriously and act promptly if a problem arises.
9. Cookies and analytics
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for the site to function. Where we use analytics to understand how the site is used, that information is aggregated and is not used to identify you personally. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as intended.
10. Your rights under the PDPA
You have the right to ask us:
- For access to the personal data we hold about you, and how we have used it
- To correct personal data that is inaccurate or incomplete
- To withdraw your consent to our continued use of your personal data
- To delete personal data we no longer need to keep
Withdrawing consent may mean we can no longer provide classes or respond to your enquiry. We will tell you if that is the case before acting on your request.
11. Data Protection Officer
To exercise any of the rights above, or to raise a concern about how we handle personal data, contact our Data Protection Officer at query@aceracademy.sg or (+65) 9108 3089. We aim to respond to every request within 30 days.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
