Terms & Conditions

These terms govern your use of the Acer Academy website and the tuition services you book through it. By booking a class or using this website, you agree to them.

1. About us

Acer Academy provides small-group tuition at centres across Singapore in Mathematics, English, Chinese, Physics, Chemistry, and Coding & Robotics. Not every subject runs at every centre. You can reach us at query@aceracademy.sg or (+65) 9108 3089.

2. Bookings and trial classes

A trial class is a single full-length session that lets your child experience a real Acer Academy lesson before enrolling. Trial places are subject to availability at the centre, phase and timeslot you select, and a booking is only confirmed once we have contacted you to agree a date and time.

We may decline or reschedule a booking where a class is full, where the phase selected (Primary, Secondary, Junior College or IB Programme) is not offered at that centre, or where a centre is closed.

3. Fees and payment

• All fees are quoted and charged in Singapore Dollars (SGD)
• Trial class fees are payable at the time of booking through our payment provider
• Card and payment details are handled entirely by our payment provider; we do not receive or store your full card number
• Ongoing tuition fees, where applicable, are set out separately at the point of enrolment

4. Rescheduling, cancellation and refunds

If you need to reschedule a booked trial class, contact us as early as possible and we will move your place to the next available session where we can. If we cancel or are unable to provide a booked class and cannot offer a suitable alternative, we will refund the fee paid for that class in full.

Fees for classes that have already been attended are not refundable. Refunds, where due, are returned to the original payment method.

5. Our results guarantee

Where we advertise a results guarantee, it applies subject to separate published conditions covering eligibility, minimum attendance, completion of assigned work, the assessment used to measure improvement, and how a claim is made. Those conditions form part of these terms. Please ask us for the current guarantee conditions before enrolling if they are material to your decision.

6. Attendance and conduct

We ask that students attend punctually, complete assigned work, and behave respectfully towards tutors and classmates. We may ask a student to leave a class, or end an enrolment, where behaviour repeatedly disrupts other students' learning.

7. Teaching materials

Our worksheets, notes, question banks and other in-house materials remain our intellectual property. They are provided for the personal use of enrolled students and may not be copied, resold, shared publicly or distributed to third parties.

8. Photographs and publicity

We sometimes photograph students or share results for promotional purposes. We only do so with the consent of a parent or legal guardian, and you may withdraw that consent at any time by writing to us, after which we will remove the material from our website and future marketing.

9. Website content

Articles and guides published on this website are provided for general information. They reflect our teaching experience but are not a substitute for advice from your child's school, and syllabus requirements and examination formats may change. Always check current requirements with the relevant school or examination board.

10. Liability

We take reasonable care in providing our services, but we do not guarantee any particular examination outcome except as expressly stated in a published guarantee. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Singapore law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the time of your booking is the version that applies to it.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and the courts of Singapore have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
