H1 Mathematics is a lighter syllabus (mainly calculus and statistics) taken over one 'H' subject slot, while H2 Mathematics is the full syllabus (9758) with pure maths, vectors, complex numbers and deeper statistics. Most science and engineering university courses expect H2.
