Conceptual Mastery
The MOE upper primary mathematics syllabus covers increasingly abstract topics, and we recognise that students commonly struggle with fractions and percentages. Simply memorising procedures and formulas is not enough for long-term success in math. Instead, we focus on helping students truly understand the underlying concepts behind math problems, so that they can approach new problems with confidence and flexibility.
Mastering Problem-Solving Skills
With the PSLE in mind, we recognise that problem-solving is a critical skill, and we aim to equip our students with the tools and strategies they need to tackle complex problems confidently. We achieve this by coaching students on how to identify task requirements in problems, and to explore different solutions to the same problem. Frequently asked questions

Most families start in Primary 5, which gives two years to build problem-solving depth before the PSLE. Starting in Primary 6 still works — we run a quick diagnostic so we target the exact topics costing marks. Younger children are welcome too — P1 to P6 share the same primary classes, and a P1 to P3 child works on lower-primary material rather than PSLE papers. PSLE Mathematics is graded on Achievement Levels (AL1 to AL8), where AL1 is 90 marks and above. Because the top bands are narrow, problem sums and careless-mistake control often make the difference — which is exactly what our classes drill.
